Vol. 379 No. 2

Written Answers. - Fingal (Dublin) Community College.

91.

asked the Minister for Education whether she has taken any further steps to purchase a site or to authorise the proposed building for the Fingal Community College, County Dublin in view of the fact that the school is in its third year and, in its existing location has no metalwork rooms, or sports hall and only one science, home economics, and art room.

My Department is in the process of acquiring a plot of land beside the old vocational school and has also decided to undertake adaptation work on the "Boro" girls primary school, to provide necessary accommodation for the pupils of the community college. Commencement of architectural planning of a new school will be considered in the context of available capital resources and of my Department's other commitments and priorities.
