132.

151.

asked the Minister for the Environment the amount of capital allocation for 1988 for the commencement of new schemes of more than five houses for (a) Mayo County Council (b) Ballina Urban District Council (c) Castlebar Urban District Council and (d) Westport Urban District Council for 1988.

171.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he has provided any money in the capital allocation for housing to (a) Sligo County Council and (b) Sligo Corporation in 1988 for any new housing scheme to be started in 1988 in excess of five houses.

172.

asked the Minister for the Environment the total capital allocation for all new housing schemes in excess of five houses on which work is starting in 1988; and the comparable figure for all local authorities for 1986 and 1987.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 132, 151, 171 and 172 together.

In addition to existing commitments in respect of schemes already under construction and single houses and schemes of up to five houses which were approved for 1988, schemes of over five houses which are due to start in 1988 are: (1) a ten house scheme for travellers at Cara Park, Dublin, which is being funded from the capital allocation for travellers' accommodation, and a 42 house scheme at Town Parks, Ardee, Co. Louth for which a tender proposal was approved by my Department in 1987. No provision was made for schemes of more than five houses in the capital allocations notified to the housing authorities in Sligo and Mayo for 1988.
