Vol. 382 No. 5

Written Answers. - Midleton (County Cork) Pier Obstruction.

96.

asked the Minister for the Marine if he will take urgent steps to have a barge containing 70 tons of gravel and stone, which has sunk at the pier at East Ferry, Midleton, County Cork removed, as it is causing a major obstruction for boats and yachts in this high amenity area.

The pier at East Ferry, Midleton, is under the jurisdiction of Cork Harbour Commissioners. I understand from the Commissioners that arrangements have been made to have the barge and its contents removed as soon as possible.
