asked the Minister for Finance if a permit was granted by the Wildlife Service to coursing club members to net hares out of season on Coolmore Stud, Fethard, County Tipperary early in June, 1988 and to relocate the hares on coursing club preserves; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A permit was not granted by the Wildlife Service to coursing club members to net hares out of season on Coolmore Stud, Fethard, County Tipperary early in June 1988.

A licence under Section 42 of the Wildlife Act 1976 was granted on 13 April 1988, to the Office of Public Works District Wildlife Officer to remove hares which were causing damage to trees at the Stud and transport them elsewhere.
