asked the Minister for Justice when he will produce his first six-monthly report on measures taken in the Department to eliminate discrimination against women as announced in the EC publication Women of Europe (details supplied) and the form its publication will take.

The first six-monthly report on measures to advance the status of women within my area of responsibility, which will cover the period to the end of June 1988, is due to be submitted to the Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach in July, 1988. Publication is a matter for the Minister of State.

asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport when he will produce his first six-monthly report on measures taken in his Department to eliminate discrimination against women as announced in the EC publication Women of Europe (details supplied) and the form its publication will take.

My Department and I are not aware of any discrimination against women in transport arrangements. I have notified the Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach, Deputy Maire Geoghegan-Quinn, to that effect.
