Vol. 383 No. 1

Written Answers. - School Transport.

360.

asked the Minister for Education the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork who was previously entitled to concessionary school bus tickets for his children has been refused this year.

The Herlihy children live less than three miles from Boherbue Post-Primary Centre and are, therefore, ineligible for transport. They could not be accommodated on a concessionary basis at the beginning of the school year as final loadings on the services to this centre had not been determined. Adjustments have since been made in services and spare seats are now available. Bus Éireann have notified the Herlihy family accordingly and advised that an application for this facility may be made to their local office.
