asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the names and functions of the commissions, committees, interdepartmental committees, working parties and State-sponsored bodies established by him and abolished by him since taking office.

To be involved in all major aspects of disease eradication, that is, in setting objectives and priorities as well as timetables for achieving them; reviewing the operation of the schemes on an ongoing basis; drawing up the annual disease eradication programme; and making recommendations to the Minister on any necessary changes in legislation

Local Review Committees onDisease Eradication

To review the progress of the disease eradication programmes

Pig Production Group

To examine possible ways of achieving an increase in pig output, to 3 million pigs by 1992 having regard to quality production and enterprise profitability.

GATT Negotiations Review Group

To keep Irish agricultural and food interests informed of developments in the negotiations and to provide a forum where they can put forward views on an on-going basis
