asked the Minister for the Marine if he will give details of (a) the gross non-capital expenditure, (b) the number of employees, (c) the salary levels of the chief executive, head of personnel and head of finance in the Dublin Port and Docks Board.

The following is the information requested by the Deputy: (a) Gross non-capital expenditure in 1988 — £14.6 million; (b) Number of employees in 1988— 522; (c) The appropriate range of remuneration for the chief executive following report No. 29 of the Review Body on Higher Remuneration in the Public Sector, and revised to take account of subsequent increases is £39,700 — £45,893. The salary levels of the head of personnel and the head of finance are matters between the board and the individuals concerned.
