Vol. 393 No. 5

Written Answers. - Army Lands in County Wicklow.

51.

asked the Minister for Defence the amount of land which is held by the Army in County Wicklow for military purposes; whether this is considered excessive to its needs; if he has any plans to dispose of it; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department administer some 8,700 acres in County Wicklow. These lands are required for training purposes by the Defence Forces. Should any areas, however, be found to be surplus to requirements, these would be disposed of in the normal way.
