asked the Minister for Education the amount of money which was allocated to each of the Regional Technical Colleges for the years 1988-89 and 1989-90; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Final allocations for current running costs for 1989-90 are not yet available. Details of the 1988-89 allocations are as follows:

With regard to capital costs, the allocations for the regional technical colleges and the Dublin Institute of Technology Colleges in 1988 and 1989 were £3.39 million and £2.39 million respectively. The time available to my Department was not adequate to compile the detailed information by college sought by the Deputy. Accordingly, I will write to her in due course with the remaining information.
