Question:173 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for the Environment , in light of uncertainty surrounding the proposed designation of the urban area of Portlaoise, County Laois, under the urban renewal financial incentive scheme, if he will make a statement on the reason for the delay in making a public and official ministerial announcement on the areas to be designated; and if such a statement of clarification will be made without further delay having regard to the fact that urban development is at a standstill in anticipation of favourable consideration to all areas of the town.
