Question:

41 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Defence the plans, if any, he has regarding the rationalisation of the Air Corps and the transfer in the short or long term of the operations at Gormanston, County Meath, and Baldonnel, County Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Mr. Lenihan

The organisation and deployment of the Air Corps are subject to review from time to time. However, there are no plans at present to relocate any existing operations from either Gormanston or Casement Aerodrome.
