Question:153 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Education when an outstanding payment will be made to a building firm (details supplied) in County Wexford.

The contract for the extension to the school referred to by the Deputy is between the chairman of the board of management of the school and the builder. My Department's function is to pay grant at the agreed level on the basis of certificates from the District Office of Public Works. My Department is in consultation with that office regarding the matter.
