Question:

136 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for the Environment the amount of money allocated to date this year for local authority house refurbishment; the total number of bathrooms and toilets to be provided this year under his Department's scheme; the total number and cost of applications received to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I refer to the reply to Question No. 5 of 7 March 1991. To date, 22 applications, valued at £3.2 million, have been received from local authorities for funding in 1991 under the terms of the sub-programme for the provision of bathroom facilities announced in "A Plan for Social Housing".
