Vol. 409 No. 1

Written Answers. - Cork Fish Kill.

Gerry O'Sullivan

Question:

36 Mr. G. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for the Marine the steps he proposes to take to eliminate a repetition of the recent fish kill on the Blackwater near Fermoy, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This is a matter for the Southern Regional Fisheries Board and the appropriate local authorities who have all the necessary powers available to them under the Water Pollution Acts and the Fisheries Acts to enable them to deal with the causes of such incidents.
