Written Answers. - Proposed Dublin Linear Park.

Question:

408 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment if he will confirm that he has received an estimate from Dublin Corporation for interim works on the proposed linear park along the River Camac adjoining the Emmet Road/ Turvey Avenue housing scheme; and if he will now approve the scheme and financing for it or if he will outline the reason for the delay in implementing the scheme in view of the appalling condition of this area.

Approval to the carrying out of the works in question was conveyed recently to Dublin Corporation. The proportion of the cost of the works which is appropriate to housing (viz. £20,000) may be charged against the Emmet Road/Turvey Avenue (Phase I) housing scheme.
