Vol. 412 No. 6

Written Answers. - Beef and Cattle Exports.

Mary Flaherty

Question:

28 Miss Flaherty asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will outline the maximum annual value, including export refunds, of beef and cattle sold to each of the following countries in the past ten years (i) Iran, (ii) Iraq, (iii) Egypt and (iv) Libya; and if he will outline the value of beef and cattle exports to these countries in (a) 1990 and (b) to date in 1991.

Figures published by the Central Statistics Office for the value of exports of beef and live cattle to Iran, Iraq, Egypt and Libya during the period 1981 to end April 1991 are set out in a tabular statement which will be circulated in the Official Report. These figures are exclusive of export refunds, which are published globally and are not available on a country-by-country basis.
