Question:

351 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline (a) the number of serviced caravan sites available to travelling people per housing authority; (b) the number of additional serviced parks provided in 1991 and (c) the expenditure on these sites in 1991.

Information provided by local authorities indicates that there are 76 serviced caravan sites throughout the country available for travelling people, of which 16 were completed in 1991. The following statement gives a breakdown by local authority area. Expenditure on the development of serviced caravan sites is estimated at £3 million in 1991.
