Charges by State Authorities: Motion

I move:

That it is expedient to make provision for the making of charges by State authorities in respect of the supply of goods or the provision of services by them under any Act of the present session to make further provision in relation to the powers of State authorities.

Is that motion agreed to?

I wish to raise a point of order.

A point of order, a Cheann Comhairle——

Please, the Chair is dealing with the Order of Business. He is on his feet an no other Member may intervene.

(Interruptions.)

The Minister for Finance has moved a financial resolution and now the House——

It has already been decided that the item moved by the Minister for Finance——

Why are you so partisan in all these things, Sir?

Please, Deputy Harte.

I am asking you a question, Sir, why are you so partisan?

Deputy Harte, you have been out of order for a considerable time.

Why do you dismiss me?

The Chair is doing his best.

You are ruling in a most partisan way.

Deputy, please desist or leave the House.

I have a point of order, Sir.

I give notice that until the Taoiseach clarifies the Government's position on proposals for seed potato growers I shall be raising this issue every morning.

I wish to clarify a matter for Deputy Bruton. In relation to the motion moved by the Minister for Finance, item No. 4, it was decided earlier that there would be no debate.

I accept that, Sir. I wish to oppose it.

Question put and declared carried.
