Vol. 434 No. 4

Written Answers. - National Lottery Funding.

Brendan Kenneally

Question:

71 Mr. Kenneally asked the Taoiseach if he will give details of any moneys expended from his Department, or the national lottery, in favour of a company (details supplied) in Galway over the past ten years.

Michael P. Kitt

Question:

73 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Taoiseach if he will give the names of the organisations in County Galway that have been approved for grant assistance by his Department and/or by organisations funded by his Department; and when these grants will be paid.

I proposed to take Questions Nos. 71 and 73 together.

My Department did not provide grant aid directly to the company of which details were supplied.

No County Galway company was grant aided directly by my Department but some £70,000 of a grant under the Soldiers and Sailors Land Trust Act, 1988, to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution has been spent in respect of the Clifden Quay and Galway Bay lifeboat stations.
