Vol. 435 No. 4

Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Michael McDowell — the demolition of Georgian buildings at 3-4 Harcourt Street, and the issue of a £30 charge being sought by An Bord Pleanála for Deputies who wish to make submissions against their demolition; (2) Deputy Richard Bruton — the results of a survey which found that over 70 per cent of cooked foods contain bacteria levels in excess of acceptable limits; (3) Deputy McGrath — the need for Government funds to allow work on track renewal on the Dublin-Belfast and Dublin-Sligo lines to continue; (4) Deputy Deenihan — the need for the Government to ensure that the buildings at 3-4 Harcourt Street are preserved because of their historical significance, and (5) Deputy McManus — the content of the reply to Parliamentary Question No. 28 on 2 November 1993 regarding the extension of the DART to Greystones, County Wicklow.

Selected for discussion are the matters raised by Deputies: Deenihan, Michael McDowell, McGrath and McManus.
