Vol. 436 No. 4

Written Answers. - Regulations Enforcement.

John Bruton

Question:

140 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the enforcement in County Meath of the Housing Rent Books and Housing Standard of Rented Houses Regulations in view of correspondence (details supplied); if these regulations are in force or revoked; and if not, if he will give their exact status.

It is a matter for local authorities, including Meath County Council, to enforce these regulations which come into effect over a period of time commencing on 1 September 1993. No element of the regulations has been revoked; their provisions in relation to rent books are in force.
