Question:16 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Justice if the working group to examine aspects of landlord and tenant law, mentioned in her reply to Parliamentary Question No. 11 of 25 November 1993, has been established.

In my reply to Question No. 11 of 25 November 1993 I indicated that, after I had consulted with interested parties on appropriate terms of reference, I would establish a working group to examine aspects of landlord and tenant law. The group was established earlier this year with the following terms of reference: "to examine and report on the provision of security of tenure in the private rented sector with particular reference to any changes which may be desirable to the provisions of the Landlord and Tenant (Amendment) Act, 1980".
