Vol. 442 No. 3

Written Answers. - Dunshaughlin (Meath) Garda Station.

Mary Wallace

Question:

94 Miss M. Wallace asked the Minister for Justice the position in relation to the building of a new Garda station in Dunshaughlin, County Meath.

A number of options for improving Garda accommodation at Dunshaughlin, including the possibility of providing an entirely new station are currently being considered. The Office of Public Works has been asked to carry out a feasibility study of the various alternatives. Exactly when it will be possible to commence work is dependent on overall priorities and available finance, as well as the option chosen. The gardaí at Dunshaughlin recently occupied fully outfitted temporary accommodation.
