Question:

110 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Taoiseach the number of marriages, births and deaths registered for each of the past ten years in respect of each county in Connaught; if he will indicate the average annual rate per thousand of the population for each county; how this compares to the average annual rate per thousand of the population for the remainder of the country; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The information requested by the Deputy is set out in the following three tables, which relate respectively to marriages, births and deaths. Figures for 1984 to 1991 inclusive relate to events which occurred in those years while the figures for 1992 and 1993 related to events registered in those years.

Marriages are classified by county of registration; births are assigned to county of residence of the mother and deaths are assigned to county of residence of the deceased.
