Vol. 467 No. 4

Written Answers. - Land Registry Decentralisation.

John O'Leary

Question:

215 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Justice if she will decentralise the Kerry mapping dealing and registration section of the Land Registry to her Department's Office in Killarney, County Kerry; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13396/96]

Arrangements are proceeding for the decentralisation of part of the operations of the Land Registry to Waterford city. It is intended that the sections of the Land Registry dealing with the counties of Carlow, Cork, Kerry, Kilkenny, Laois, Limerick, Offaly, Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford will be transferred to Waterford.

I have no further proposals for decentralisation of Land Registry operations.
