Written Answers. - Tourism Research Programmes.
The Tourism Council, which I chair, has undertaken research, funded by my Department, into areas such as tourism branding, product development, manpower training and domestic tourism marketing, the findings of which have been taken into account by the council in conclusions published in its review last September.
The Department, with EU assistance, also funds an ongoing evaluation by independent consultants on the implementation tourism operational programme.
