Question:29 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Finance the total amount of money expended on consultancies in the past two years; the total number of reports from these consultancies; and the cost of such reports. [1497/97]
Written Answers. - Consultancy Costs.
The amount expended in my Department on consultancy in 1995, as indicated in the 1995 Appropriation Accounts, was £1,405,843. The provisional outturn for 1996 indicates that expenditure on consultancy for that year in my Department was £614,120.
With reference to the total number of reports arising from consultancies undertaken since my appointment as Minister for Finance and the cost of such reports I refer the Deputy to my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 98 of Tuesday 28 January 1997.
