263 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the volume and value of Irish beef exports for each of the years from 1994 to 1996 to the United Kingdom, continental EU countries and to international markets. [8665/97]

The following is the volume and value of Irish beef exported to the UK, EU continental markets and international markets in the years 1994, 1995 and 1996:

It should be noted that the value of the beef exports to international markets stated above does not include export refunds paid on these exports amounting to £319.84 million in 1994, £361.39 million in 1995 and £337.99 million in 1996.
