86 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the details, if any, with his Department relating to children whose birth details are inaccurately recorded in the register of live births; and, if so, the total number involved. [14022/97]
My Department's records contain references to 11 children who were taken to the United States for adoption whose births, linked to a particular Dublin nursing home, according to the Garda were falsely registered. There is a reference in the records to the possibility that there may have been 43 such cases but my Department has details of only 11.
