Before coming to the Order of Business we must deal with the postponed division relating to the suspension of a Member. Yesterday on the question that Deputy Pat Rabbitte be suspended from the service of the Dáil a division was claimed and in accordance with Standing Order 61 that division must be taken now.
Suspension of Member.
I request that this matter be withdrawn. It is an entirely disproportionate act in relation to the important question Deputy Rabbitte raised yesterday. Is the Chair not prepared to listen?
