273 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Health and Children the plans, if any, he has to appoint a substitute orthodontist in the Tipperary North Riding and Limerick areas pending the return of the permanent orthodontist who has been on sick leave since November 1998. [5527/99]
As the recruitment of orthodontic staff in counties Tipperary north and Limerick is the statutory responsibility of the Mid-Western Health Board I have asked the chief executive officer of the Mid-Western Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this matter and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
