153 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the number of European Communities directives applicable to Ireland; the number for which implementing measures have been reported to the Commission; the comparative position of Ireland in relation to the other member states; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Department of Foreign Affairs does not have responsibility for the implementation of any EU directives and accordingly no reports have been made by the Department to the Commission.
