Ruairí Quinn
Question:154 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he has received representations from the Federation of Irish Societies to reduce the cost of Irish passports in view of the fact that that a person entitled to get an Irish passport in the United Kingdom has to pay £40 where the equivalent United Kingdom passport is £21 which is a financial disincentive for Irish people who wish to assert continuation of their own Irish identity within the European Union; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
