313 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in Dublin 5 will have his hip replacement operation carried out in Cappagh Hospital, Dublin 11, in view of the fact he is in considerable pain; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7646/99]

The provision of orthopaedic treatment in this case, in the first instance, is the responsibility of Cappagh Orthopaedic Hospital. I have, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the hospital to investigate this matter and reply directly to the Deputy.
