90 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Defence the current strength of the Air Corps; the conditions, if any, on new recruits coming through the training process in relation to service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16312/99]

The military authorities advise that the strength of the Air Corps on 31 May 1999, the latest date for which figures have been compiled, was 901 all ranks. The conditions of enlistment for general service recruits remain unchanged.
