Vol. 508 No. 1

Written Answers. - Disabled Artists.

Róisín Shortall

Question:

722 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if she will meet with an organisation (details supplied) in order to discuss its concerns regarding supporting the artistic activities of people with disabilities and ensuring better access to the arts in view of the fact that it has requested this meeting for over a year. [18006/99]

I have recently been in communication with the organisation concerned outlining the position. I have requested from that organisation specific documentation for my information which would inform the agenda for a meeting between us. I am awaiting receipt of this documentation before finalising arrangements for a meeting.
