195 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Health and Children the cost of a public bed in St. Ita's and St. Camillus's hospitals in the Mid-Western Health Board area. [5934/00]

197 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of beds available for occupancy for long-term stay, rehabilitation and respite in St. Ita's and St. Camillus's hospitals in the Mid-Western Health Board area; and the number of these which are currently occupied. [5936/00]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 195 and 197 together.

The information forwarded by the Mid-Western Health Board in response to the Deputy's questions is as follows: the average daily cost of maintaining a patient in St Ita's Hospital in 1999 was £59; the average daily cost of maintaining a patient in St Camillus' Hospital in 1999 was £65.

The following information refers to bed numbers on 28 February 2000.
