Vol. 515 No. 6

Written Answers. - White Collar Crime.

Michael Bell

Question:

42 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the proposals, if any, the Government has for additional measures to combat white collar crime; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6833/00]

As indicated in this Government's legislative programme, I anticipate publishing the Criminal Justice (Fraud Offences) Bill during the current Dáil session. The Bill will take account of the report of the Law Reform Commission on offences of dishonesty and the report of the Advisory Committee on Fraud and will comprehensively and radically reform the law on white collar crime, fraud and offences of dishonesty in general.
