176 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Kildare will be given an appointment for an urgent operation at Tullamore general hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14099/00]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

The responsibility for the provision of services in Tullamore general hospital rests with the Midland Health Board. I have, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate this matter and to reply directly to the Deputy.
