Vol. 530 No. 6

Written Answers. - Environmental Protection Agency Investigation.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

160 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the position of the Environmental Protection Agency investigation into the animal health problems and mystery cattle deaths in the Askeaton area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4553/01]

Three interim reports on the investigation in question have been published by the Environmental Protection Agency, setting out a large proportion of the measurements and observations of the various agencies involved, including my Department. I understand that the EPA expects to complete a final report by the end of April next.
