Question:196 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for Finance if he will consider the views of an employer in west Dublin (details supplied) on the cost of removal of the ceiling on employers' PRSI. [4867/01]

Minister for Finance (Mr. McCreevy): I have already indicated the general background and considerations relating to the abolition of the employer PRSI contribution ceiling announced in the budget for 2001. In addition, I have stated that, when pursuing the reform and simplification of the PRSI and health levy system in my next budget, I will bear in mind the various representations received, including those from the company concerned.
