381 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if an application from Drogheda Corporation to repair the structural defect in the Drogheda swimming pool in Rathmullen, Drogheda, County Louth, has been received by his Department; his plans to provide funding for a replacement pool; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Last April, I approved the preliminary report submitted by Drogheda Corporation for the proposed redevelopment of Drogheda swimming pool. This approval allowed the corporation to arrange for the preparation of detailed contract documents for the work proposed. Further consideration will be given to this proposal on receipt of the contract documents.
