Vol. 553 No. 2

Written Answers. - Tax Rebates.

Dan Neville

Question:

215 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Finance when a full tax refund will be made available to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [13078/02]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has carried out a review of the taxpayer's liability. According to the information available to the inspector of taxes, the taxpayer did not pay income tax in the 1998/99 or 1999/00 tax years. As a result of a review of the taxpayer's liability for the 2000/01 tax year, a repayment of £395.71, €502.45, was made to the taxpayer on 5 October 2001. A review of the taxpayer's liability for the 2001 short tax year resulted in repayments of £103.32, €131.19, on 15 November 2001 and €129.78, £102.21, on 22 January 2002. There are no further refunds due to the taxpayer at present.
