Question:

428 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs if funding has been sought for a RAPID programme (details supplied); the funding which has been allocated if the application was received; the funding available from his Department in regard to such programmes; the headings under which the funding is available; the timescale of such funding. [10739/03]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 427 and 428 together.

The Athy RAPID plan included a number of proposals for funding under various schemes, which have been forwarded to the relevant Departments for consideration. None of the proposals fall within the remit of funding schemes operated by my Department. My Department has allocated €14,500 to the Athy area implementation team, however, to support it in its preparation of the plan and in the implementation of the programme.
