274 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Education and Science, further to Parliamentary Question No. 139 of 2 October 2003, when he will supply the information on the untrained teachers' scale as promised in his reply; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29965/03]
Sanction for the application of the first phase of the benchmarking increase to the untrained teachers scale has now been received and arrangements are being made to apply the appropriate increase and pay the arrears due in early January 2004. There are a total of 543 persons currently on the untrained teachers' scale.
