200 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government if he will sanction additional funding to Kildare county council to enable it to meet the cost of the disabled persons and essential repairs grants schemes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30614/03]
Kildare County Council received a capital allocation of €1,642,000 for payment of disabled persons and essential repairs grants in June 2003. It is understood from discussions with Kildare County Council that this allocation will cover its requirements for this year.
Details of the capital funding being provided for the payment of the disabled persons and essential repairs grants in 2004 will be made available in the revised Estimates for public services 2004 which will be published early in 2004.
