Vol. 703 No. 3

Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 32.

Before coming to the Order of Business, I propose to deal with a number of notices under Standing Order 32. I will call on the Deputies in the order in which they submitted their notices to my office.

I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the urgent need to deal with the water problems in Clontarf, Artane, Raheny, Donnycarney and Coolock, and I call on the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to ensure that Dublin City Council will get the maximum support on this urgent matter to assist the residents of Dublin North-Central.

Answer that one.

Yes. This matter is more important and relevant to our duties in this House.

I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the action by the public service, which has brought the country to a standstill, with telephones in all sectors of the Civil Service not being answered today.

It was caused by the Government.

Having considered the matters raised, I believe they are not in order under Standing Order 32.
