Following the sitting of the Dáil on 10 March, I went to Áras an Úachtaráin to tender my resignation as Taoiseach to the President, who accepted it. In accordance with the Constitution, my Government colleagues and I are continuing to carry out our duties and will do so until a new Government is appointed. The issues of the nomination of a Taoiseach and the formation of a Government will be addressed at the next sitting of the House on 6 April.
