We will continue with EU scrutiny. This is a large document which was circulated only today and I propose, with the agreement of members, that it be deferred until next week's meeting. Is that agreed? Agreed.
There are other proposals regarding the WTO agriculture negotiations. I understand the document will be formally referred to the committee by the sub-committee on EU scrutiny later this week. Due to its importance, the document has been circulated now to advise members of the proposals. I suggest that the proposals be considered at a meeting of the joint committee scheduled for next week. Officials of the Department of Agriculture and Food have been alerted to the effect that the committee may decide to invite them to discuss the proposals in detail, and are available for this purpose. Is that agreed? Agreed.
The joint committee went into private session and adjourned at 4.50 p.m. until 4.15 p.m. on Wednesday, 29 January 2003.
